So I decided to give Ark another go. I've played a lot of No Man's Sky and was starting to look at Conan, but just realised that if I'm going to chop trees, I'd rather do it with Dinosaurs running around. I picked up the expansion pass for Ark during a Steam sale or something and for what I paid, I don't think I can complain. If you bought the DLC before they had a Season Pass, I can imagine the outrage, but the Season Pass has been great value with one more expansion still to come. To liven things up, I decided to hit the Aberration map. I had tried it before, but had found it impossibly hard to get started. It's a very different beast to the original maps. Firstly, from what I can see, there are no flying creatures you can tame. It seems almost always dark, but there is a day/night cycle of sorts.
