CMDR Gr3g Update.
Having some hassles with getting his account details. It's linked to his family email address and giving me the elite password requires me to authenticate my pc which then sends emails to his family and it becomes awkward for them to authenticate me. I've got a new laptop incoming, so perhaps I can go to his place and do the authentication / there and get my laptop "approved" and then maybe migrate the mail account or setup a forward to me.
It's complicated by the fact that his daughter Marie has been wondering if she shouldn't keep his save game alive and play. Apparently she was his co-pilot for many hours and is familiar with lots of the mechanics of the game. I intend visiting soon as they are locating a c64 and some old memorabilia for me to rummage through one Saturday morning.
Personally, I would prefer if Marie kept playing vs having a sendoff, but I wanted to keep any people curious about the status quo informed.
Feel free to pop me any questions if I've been unclear.

You could set up a rule to forward the email to you IF it comes from Frontier AND it contains the word Elite if they're using something like Outlook for their emails. Alternatively you can set up a forward rule on the mail server if you have access to the mail server domain controls.
I run my own domain and use different names and rules for different purposes. I tend to use the shop name when buying things online, which makes it fun if/when they sell on the address and I can track it back to them. It also makes it easy to "kill" an address and point it to /dev/null if necessary.
I understand that you also took Greg's ship to his memorial station, so the 3rd option is to leave his ship at the station.
As a member of the community, I would be happy with any of the above options, I would not however, want to see memory of Greg forgotten, I never knew the guy, never played with him, never even knew of him until he passed, but with the outpouring of support by the community and the devs - the community goal, the completion of said goal... It is clear that many people want him to live on in some way.

If my opinion was worth anything in this "debate" (knowing full well it's not) I'd personally rather see Greg's daughter to get her own account to follow in the footsteps of her father, and let his account rest at Greg's Legacy. This, by the way, would also enable her to run 2 instances and see "her father" (well, his ship) in-game from time to time if she happens to feel like it. But, as you say, it' her decision, and whichever way she will choose, I respect and support that.
Also, on Thursday, at the Frontier Community Meet in Cologne I have taken the liberty of extending my thanks on behalf of NULL for the CGs that enabled us to build Greg's Legacy. Ed was very happy about the feedback and that they could give us these CGs.
Finally: Damn grievers!
Sorry, had to. I'll see myself to the door. ;-)
I don't watch many TV shows. Haven't watched a single episode of Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad either.
Not to be ignorant, but I never watch it. 2 of the three in the house are just primarily used for gaming and the 3rd is rarely on for anything more than Chromecast pictures!
I like movies, and a few series too, but I've got pretty much all the stuff I watch on an external HD connected to a Raspberry Pi with Kodi, which in turn is hooked to the TV. But mostly I just stream to my notebook or tablet instead of watching on the TV.
And now, with the Oculus, I wanna try watching a movie in the virtual theater, because that might very well be pretty awesome.
