With my road I generate planes in code which end up being the road tiles (like scalextric pieces). Sometimes I have the challenge that my player object can't make the ramp between 2 pieces. - > ______o----------- In essence the player gets stuck in the geometry. What could also happen is the diff in steps are such that -- > ______ ____ o-> Player falls through geometry. I'm having to calculate a slope between the 2 points using pythagoras and generating an intermediate sloping plan. I have to space the steps further aprt. ___________ / / ___ / Sorry for the ascii. It's late and my mind is a bit Destiny2 frazzled. Having to work on the sloping bit, I realised that I haven't used Pythagoras since high school. Did the pythagoras rotation calculation earlier in c#. I need to create the plan and do the spacing tomorrow. Hope it works! BTW, I have it running on my phone now, which is a rea...

So, I'm not sure how we're going to do this, but I wanted to kick this off and say that my idea was to get "something" in the Google Play Store before I turn 50. I thought by now it would be done, but here we are. I decided to use Unity / C# as I had been teaching myself Android Xamarin dev anyway and the skills were transferrable. I broke the problems I needed to solve into a bunch of technical bullets and for most of them, I have code that works. * Procedurally generated road * External geometry for the road loaded via .csv * Input control that works on keyboard, controller (windows) and accelerometer (android) * Ability to play sounds / music simply * Level management * Title screen * Options screen * Replacing .csv with sqlite I have code most of the above. I'm not sure if any of it is worth sharing and most of it comes from Brackey's Tutorials, but I'm willing to share what I've written or answer any questions on anything I've written. I...

#^&% it.

#^&% it. If you're going to get the Cure in your feed this morning, why not the rela thing. Just put this on and drift. Good set. #TheCure #Live https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckdHyuPZY8s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckdHyuPZY8s

One more.

One more. I really love the entire Disentegration era of the Cure more than any other part of their career. I also remember seeing Lily Allen at Glastonbury, beer in hand, singing in the rain. Love the attitude and voice. Then this one appeared in my playlist a few years ago and made itself at home. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTWIn7An678 #TheCure #Cover #LilyAllen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTWIn7An678

Wanted to do something Cure related.

Wanted to do something Cure related. If I was lying in a hospital bed somewhere, I think I need more of the Cure. #lame #TheCure #Cover #Adele https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5bpYECjPJ4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5bpYECjPJ4

One last one that I couldn't resist.

One last one that I couldn't resist. I love the odd Depeche Mode instrumental that comes along now and then. Nothing to Fear is one of those tracks that gave Dave a chance to have a drink and a massage while the boys just ignored the crowd and were head down in the synths playing this track. You rarely get to see Andy Fletcher's hands on the keyboard in videos, but here you get to see him holding down the bassline. It's an old clip of an early track, but I love this track! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjI-Dlw7vs4 As a bonus, when I played it on YouTube, the next track was My Secret Garden, so just let it play... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjI-Dlw7vs4

To finish my trilogy of People are People versions, this is one by Jonas Öberg. A few years ago Alan Wilder sold off his old DM samples and Jonas bought a bunch of disks in the auction. This remix is his version using the same samples (and others) and is a modern interpretation. It is a much more traditional sounding mix, but remade with newer tech. Really nice version. One of the YT commenters says Alan should be in the pic and I 100% agree. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PmCOSkeIWc #depechemode #peoplearepeople #alanwilder https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PmCOSkeIWc
