Linux printing directly on printable cd / dvd

Okay, for my next challenge, I am trying to replace the windows software I used to make cd labels with a linux equivalent. I've tried before with mixed levels of success and failure and always went back to using Windows to do this.


Since my windows partition is history and doing this in a virtual machine will be admitting failure, I am going to give this a serious try.


My initial stabs are showing me a number of potential problems.


1) Selecting the correct settings for the cd tray.


2) Creating a template that can be reused for different types of cover.


3) Finding the appropriate application to do the printing.


It feels like I've got a frustrating session ahead of me.

Unlocking Hera Tani

Unlocking Hera Tani This is just so pointless. 4 trips for no good reason other than waste time. It's probably going to take me 4 days. I can't imagine that the same people who brought my favourite game back to life could come up with such a useless system as the various engineering unlocks and crafting system that you HAVE to do to progress meaningfully. So, in the spirit of Elite Stories, thought I'd share my perspective of last night. We had barely met and there we were suiting up and using our limited funds to buy guns, ammo and gear for the mission we'd been thrust into. It wasn't an honour we'd earned. Others had died, we were next. There were no reinforcements. Nobody was coming to save us. In fact, quite the opposite was true. We were going in to rescue a squad who were sheltered and taking fire.
